BRENT tracks Brent crude oil, the global benchmark for oil pricing, quoted in dollars per barrel, traded as a cash-settled instrument that mirrors the underlying futures market.

Brent reflects global seaborne supply and demand, reacting to OPEC+ policy, Middle East tensions, US shale output and Chinese demand. It usually trades a few dollars above WTI and moves in tandem with it.

Brent Crude Oil trades nearly 24 hours on weekdays with a short daily settlement break, and its busiest window is the US session around the weekly inventory releases. Daily moves around 1.7% are normal, with much larger spikes on OPEC headlines or supply shocks. The market is dominated by commercial hedgers, energy funds and macro traders, and it rewards those who respect position sizing.
