Natural gas is extremely weather-sensitive: winter cold snaps and summer heat waves drive demand, while storage reports and LNG exports set the tone. It is among the most volatile instruments offered to retail traders.

Natural Gas trades nearly 24 hours on weekdays with a short daily settlement break, and its busiest window is the US session around the weekly inventory releases. Daily moves around 3% are normal, with much larger spikes on OPEC headlines or supply shocks.
